Quotes and estimates

Prices shown on this website are typical ranges for Napa Valley properties. They are illustrative, not quotes and not offers. A firm price is given in writing after we have walked the property, and it is what governs the work.

Scope of work

We install, maintain and remove seasonal and permanent decorative lighting. We are not electricians and we do not perform electrical work on your property’s fixed wiring, panels or circuits. Where a property’s electrical supply is inadequate or unsafe for the intended installation, we will tell you and stop; that work is for a licensed electrician.

Access and safety

We install from ladders around the perimeter of a building. We do not walk clay, concrete tile or slate roofs, and we will not quote runs that require it. Where any part of a property cannot be reached safely, we will say so and design around it rather than attempt it.

The lighting

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, lighting materials remain our property. The seasonal price covers use of that lighting for the season, installation, in-season service, and removal and storage afterwards.

Scheduling

Installation dates are agreed in advance and are subject to weather. We will not work on ladders in unsafe conditions, and dates may move as a result. Takedown normally takes place during January, weather permitting.

Service during the season

If a display we installed fails between installation and the end of the season, we will repair it at no additional charge. This does not cover damage caused by third parties, storms beyond normal winter weather, or customer alteration of the installation.

Payment

Payment terms are set out in your written quote.

Cancellation

If you cancel before materials are cut for your property, there is no charge. Once runs have been custom-cut to your measurements they cannot be reused, and costs incurred to that point are payable.

Liability

We carry general liability insurance and a certificate is available on request. We are not liable for pre-existing defects in a building, including failing fascia, deteriorated gutters or previously damaged roofing, and we will point out anything of that kind we notice.
