- Veteran owned

- Napa local

Calistoga sits at the very top of the valley, about forty minutes up from the city of Napa, and it has a character all its own — a small walkable main street, a spa-town economy, older cottage housing stock, and properties spreading out onto larger rural parcels beneath Mount St. Helena.
It is the furthest point we cover, and we cover it properly rather than reluctantly. Calistoga trades hard in December on exactly the kind of visitor who notices whether a place made an effort.
What we do here
- Residential installation — rooflines, trees, columns and walkways
- Commercial and winery lighting — tasting rooms, entries, event space
- Permanent architectural lighting — installed once, used year-round
- Takedown, storage and maintenance — included with every install

What Calistoga properties need
- Lincoln Avenue frontage. The main street is compact, walkable and busy after dark in December. Window lines, entry detail and awning runs matter far more than roof height. Installs happen outside trading hours.
- Spa, inn and lodge properties. Arrival sequences, courtyards, pool and garden areas. Guests are outdoors in the evening here more than almost anywhere else in the valley, so the lighting has to work at close range and hold up to being walked past all night.
- Older cottage housing. Much of residential Calistoga is smaller, older single-story stock — bungalows and cottages with modest rooflines. These light beautifully and inexpensively, and the trees usually matter more than the building.
- Rural parcels and ranch properties. Out toward the base of the mountain, parcels get large and power gets distant. Circuits are planned properly with exterior-rated protection rather than a chain of cords across a paddock.
- Mature specimen trees. Calistoga has some magnificent old oaks and sycamores. On a large parcel a single lit specimen tree does more than any roofline.
Wind and weather at the top of the valley
- Calistoga gets the wind. The valley narrows here and north wind events are stronger than down valley. Runs on exposed elevations get supported at closer intervals, and we avoid long unsupported spans across wide gables entirely.
- Colder nights. The top of the valley runs several degrees colder. It does not affect LED performance, but it does mean cable is stiffer to work with and installs take a little longer in the mornings.
- Rain and sealed connections. Same as everywhere in the valley — water in a junction is the number one cause of a dead display, and every connection we make is sealed and drip-looped.
- Fire-wise removal. This end of the valley takes defensible space seriously. Everything comes down in January.
Being straight about distance
Calistoga is the far end of our range. Same pricing, no travel surcharge — but scheduling is batched onto grouped days, and if a run fails in December you are forty minutes away rather than ten. For a home that is a non-issue. For an inn with guests arriving that evening, it is worth knowing before you book.
